At Hazelbury, we are proud to be recognised as an Oracy Centre of Excellence, committed to advancing the teaching and learning of oracy skills. Over the past six years, we have partnered with Voice21 to establish ourselves as leaders in oracy practice, embedding effective communication across our school community. Through hosting visits from numerous schools, providing specialised training, and delivering keynote speeches at national conferences, we have shared our expertise and built a reputation for excellence. Now, we are eager to extend the reach of our practice, supporting other schools and educational professionals in developing their oracy strategies to benefit all learners.

Visits to Hazelbury to see oracy in action!

We warmly welcome schools to visit and see oracy in practice. If you're interested in observing our approach in more depth or starting a collaborative conversation about developing oracy in your setting, we’d be delighted to host you at our Oracy Exhibition. Alternatively, we are also available to speak at conferences and training sessions for educational professionals.

Below are details of the sessions hosted at Hazelbury that we currently have on offer for the academic year 2025/26. Please complete this form if you would like to attend or wish for more information. The sessions are at a charge of £50 per person. Once you have booked your place you will receive an invoice from the school.

Our Oracy Exhibition offers a rich and immersive exploration into how oracy is embedded and championed across a school community. Participants will observe oracy in action across a range of year groups, providing a practical lens on how speaking and listening skills are taught and celebrated from early years through to upper key stages.
