Hazelbury received an ungraded inspection in October 2024.
Within the report, which can be found below, it highlights the excellent quality of education that pupils receive at the school, alongside the recognition of hard work and dedication of staff and Governors at Hazelbury.
Please see below some of the comments from the report that we feel are particularly reflective of Hazelbury.
Leaders aspire for all pupils in the school, whatever their background, to receive an excellent education.
The school has designed a broad and balanced curriculum which is ambitious for pupils across all subjects. The school has high expectations for pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
Pupils learn keenly here. They are proud to be ambassadors for the school, and they are respectful of their peers. Pupils are enthusiastic to learn and behave very sensibly in class.
Pupils regularly make use of their learning from the speaking curriculum to listen intently, debate and build on others’ thoughts.
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. Those responsible for governance know the school well and meet with leaders, staff and pupils regularly to check that the school’s systems are robust.
